Edinburgh based PR consultancy, Elaine Howie PR, this week claimed one of the UK ’s most prestigious PR prizes, ‘Outstanding Achievement by a Small Consultancy’, at the CIPR Excellence Awards. The company, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary year, took the coveted award at the Excellence Awards Summer Ball at The Honorable Artillery Company Gardens in London on Monday 3 July. This is the first time that the award has been won by a Scottish agency.
Elaine Howie PR is one of Scotland ’s leading PR agencies and boasts an impressive client list including Lloyds TSB Scotland, Magners Irish Cider and The Gleneagles Hotel and Dewar’s World of Whisky. The company was founded in 1996 by Elaine Howie and has grown both in reputation and in stature over the past ten years to become a key player in the PR industry.
Elaine said,
‘It is a real honour for me to bring such a prestigious award to Scotland . This is recognition at a national level and it is very exciting for my team and myself. Without the confidence and commitment of our clients we would not have a platform to work on and we would not have won this award. Individually and collectively we're very proud.’
The Excellence Awards recognise and reward best practice in public relations throughout the UK and acknowledge personal and team achievement at the highest professional level.
CIPR Director General Colin Farrington said: "The number of entries received this year was unprecedented. The standard of the winners and the finalists demonstrate the good work being done in the industry and the contribution PR makes to business and society.
"The Excellence Awards judging process is tough and competition is strong, so winning an award is a great achievement. It is confirmation that Elaine Howie PR is amongst the best in Britain."
